Ok- ok- F/GO x AC. Imagine Desmond Master of Chaldea and the other assassins are also servants. (All of them being assassin class ofc) it woulc be funny to see how some of the already existing servants would react to the other assassins. Jacob having mixed feelings on Jack the ripper and Altair and Jacques De Molay, Edward and the other pirate servants, etc. And Desmond thrown into being the Savior of humanity again, man deja vu.

Okay, so first things first… Altaïr would have never met Jacques de Molay because Jacques de Molay would be quite young when Altaïr died. (Edward, though, would have some very awkward questions for Anne and Mary and it would probably be easy for Jacob to ignore Jack the Ripper because of how different they are from the Jack he knew)

Second of all, my dear nonny, I barely played FGO but I did play the OG VN so…

The fact that you picked Desmond as a master and the other Assassins as servants only reminded me that part of the plot of the og visual novel is that servants take mana from their master by having sex XD

Anyway, I think there’s something ‘fishy’ we can do about Desmond and his ‘exclusive’ servants because of one mystery:

is “The Old Man of the Mountain” (First Hassan) even human to begin with?

We could play with his connection to Desmond in some way, marking Desmond as a Master who cannot summon any new servants. He only has the new Assassin class servants who seemed… well… there’s definitely some question to the legitimacy of their creation.

Hell, one of them could even talk about how Desmond’s direct connection to the First Hassan is too ‘direct’ to be normal.

If the First Hassan is something more than human then Desmond could be a being created by him, hereby making him more or less the First Hassan’s son.

His servants would be the ‘protection’ his father gave him.

Desmond calls it all bullshit because (1) he has never met the First Hassan and (2) he highly doubts what may or may not be Hassan-i Sabbah is related to him.

But, of course, some servants would find this fascinating and want to learn more about Desmond and his servants.

And who more would be interested than Leonardo Da Vinci.

Grailfinders #346: James Moriarty (Ruler)

today on grailfinders we’re building for the very first time James Moriarty, because even FGO got tired of that true name-hiding bullshit. also because archer of shinjuku (ruler) just sounds ridiculous. anyways, Jim-boy is still a Mastermind Rogue to mastermind some roguishness, but he’s also a Lore Bard now to play his part to perfection.

Ancestry & Background

as before, Moriarty is a Human, but he’s a fictional human, so he gets +1 Dexterity and Charisma, as well as proficiency in Sleight of Hand and the Martial Adept feat. with this, your slide rule can slide to any length, letting you perform one Lunging (extra reach) or Sweeping (multiple targets) attack per short rest.

I hope this isn’t shocking, but James Moriarty is a Criminal. if that is, I guess that’s his Deception and Stealth at work.

Ability Scores

Moriarty’s highest score is Charisma. he’s real great at lying, and playing to his character. after that is his Intelligence. we don’t really need it for this build, but moriarty is one smart cookie. wait sorry, wrong gacha. third is his Dexterity. that’ll help you slap people with a ruler and also multiclass! your Constitution is also positive since you need to live to the ripe old age of Archer, so your Strength is just kind of meh. turns out professors are not bodybuilders. except for that one guy, but I don’t think Frankenstein counts. this all means we’re dumping Wisdom. playing the perfect villain is your biggest strength and weakness- you’ll always succeed right up to the last step, but then you need to take a fall. that sounds a lot like being hypnotized, so your wisdom saves are trash now- we’ll patch up the abilities as we go.

Class Levels

1. Rogue 1: starting off as a rogue lets us get started on that right away, giving you proficiency in Insight, Perception, Performance, and Persuasion, as well as Dexterity and Intelligence saves. if that cool +2 isn’t enough for you, you can also get Expertise in two skills, doubling your proficiency bonus in them for a nice +4 to Deception and Persuasion.

rogues also get a Sneak Attack once per turn, adding 1d6 to your damage if you hit someone with a ranged or dexterity-based attack, and you either have an accomplice nearby, or advantage on the attack roll.

also you know Thieves’ Cant now, it’s a language that thieves can learn!

2. Rogue 2: second level rogues have a Cunning Action they can use as a bonus action, letting you dash, disengage, or hide without wasting your chance to stab someone this turn.

3. Rogue 3: if you’d rather waste every other part of your turn to stab really well, you can use your Steady Aim to get advantage on an attack at the cost of not moving that turn. but you’re also a Mastermind now, making you a Master of Intrigue. with this you learn even more languages, as well as proficiency with the disguise and forgery kits. also, if you listen to someone speak for a least one minute you can copy their accent. that’s why you don’t sound british.

if you were hoping for something even remotely combat-based, you can at least check out your Master of Tactics, which lets you help as a bonus action, giving someone else advantage on an attack, with an expanded range to boot!

4. Rogue 4: use your first Ability Score Improvement to bump up your Dexterity! that’ll improve your AC, your attack damage, and your accuracy!

5. Rogue 5: fifth level rogues get an Uncanny Dodge, so if you’re hit by an attack you can react to halve the incoming damage. as a ruler your damage should always be halved, but we’re only level five, we’ll get there when we get there.

6. Bard 1: now you’re definitely villainous, but are you an antagonist? we’ll sure try to make you one! as a bard you get another skill proficiency, and while I don’t think you’re great at Medicine you’re definitely better than a -1, so now you’re proficient.

as a bard, you can use Bardic Inspiration to inspire your henchmen to new heights, maybe even making them a villain of the week! right now it just means a d6 on their next check or attack, but still!

you also learn Spells which you can cast using your Charisma. with Blade Ward you take half damage from all physical attack types, and Prestidigitation is just the kind of bullshit spell you give someone who needs to be ready for anything. with Bane you can give your enemies “protagonist in a cutscene” syndrom, reducing all their attacks and saves by 1d4 for up to a minute. if you really need to mess someone up, Silvery Barbs basically gives them disadvantage on an attack check or save, and an ally of yours advantage on their next one!

also you’re a rogue, so Disguise Self and Distort Value. you could probably do both of those already, but now you have magic to do it for you!

7. Bard 2: second level bards are Jacks of All Trades, so all your checks are made with at least half your proficiency bonus. also you have a Song of Rest which marginally helps heal during short rests, and your Magical Inspiration lets your minions add your inspiration to their magical healing or damage. I bet Arjuna Alter would make a great minion, he seems easy to manipulate.

speaking of, you can cast Command now, to force a creature to villainy! but it has to be a one-word command, and also they have to fail a wisdom save first. again, we’re starting out.

8. Bard 3: at third level you become a Lore bard, giving you three more proficiencies in Animal Handling, Survival, and Intimidation, filling out all your wisdom- and charisma-based skills. if that wasn’t enough, you also get another round of Expertise, doubling down on Sleight of Hand and Intimidation. clowns are scary in america, and sherlock gets really rattled when you show up in traum. it’s not the best reason for expertise but you’ve got so many skills I’m kind of grasping at straws here.

you can also cast Suggestion now, convincing a creature to commit crimes with a sentence or two. you can’t get them to do obviously harmful acts, so “hey, punch that tarrasque” is off the table. you can also set the condition to trigger remotely, giving you sleeper agents in the field!

one last thing- lore bards get Cutting Words, letting you use your reaction and inspiration to weaken an attack or check from an enemy.

9. Bard 4: bump up your Charisma for stronger bonds with your minions. and by bonds I of course mean mind control.

for even more weakening, the cantrip Vicious Mockery deals psychic damage and forces disadvantage on the target’s next attack roll! dying is a major obstacle, so just don’t do it. if there’s any other obstacles in your way that you somehow don’t have a proficiency to deal with, Borrowed Knowledge can help out, giving you another proficiency for an hour.

10. Bard 5: the fifth level is huge for bards, growing your inspiration dice to d8s and making you a Font of Inspiration, so it recharges on short rests. also you learn third level spells, like Enemies Abound. this arguably doesn’t make a creature evil, but as long as they’re attacking the good guys it’s close enough for horseshoes.

11. Bard 6: at sixth level bards get Countercharm but enough about that, you also get Additional Magical Secrets! scientists are still hard at work to figure out what they’re additional to, but we don’t need to worry about that.

now you can use Fireball to finally use your NP! its kind of weird how much more difficult one of your skills is compared to your NP, but sometimes these things happen. speaking of, while “flip target’s alignment” probably isn’t in Bestow Curse’s wheelhouse, there’s nothing saying you can’t use it for that, so why not.

also for your normal spell you get Dispel Magic to break through any magical obstacles between you and world domination.

12. Rogue 6: sixth level of rogue isn’t as flashy, but the Expertise in Stealth and Insight are still very much appreciated.

13. Rogue 7: seventh level rogues have 4d6 sneak attacks, but they also get Evasion! now every failed dex save is a success, and every success is like you never fell into your own fireball in the first place. I mean, obviously you would never, right?

14. Rogue 8: at eighth level, you get another ASI, so bump up your Dexterity again to really wallop people with that slide rule.

15. Rogue 9: a ninth level mastermind is an Insightful Manipulator, so spending one minute with any creature can score you insight into its soft stats or its backstory! the villain always seems to suss out the hero way faster than the other way around, right?.

16. Rogue 10: use your tenth level ASI to max out your Charisma for the strongest magic you can get- plot armor.

17. Rogue 11: by eleventh level rogues have a Reliable Talent, which means any checks you make with proficiency always score at least a 10 on the roll. that means no more critical failures, and even with negative wisdom every wisdom-based check is at least a 15.

18. Bard 7: Bouncing back to bard gives you access to fourth level spells like Charm Monster. if you make someone friendly to you, they’ll be hostile to good, which makes them evil!

19. Bard 8: use your last ASI on the Tough feat for a bonus 38 HP now and another two at level 20. rulers can take a beating, and now you’re no exception.

20. Bard 9: ninth level bards get fifth level spells, and we can finally get the best evilmaking spell in the game, Dominate Person. if they fail a wisdom save they’re charmed for up to a minute, during which they’ll obey any command you give them, and you can even control them directly if you so wish. if you want evil done well, you have to do it yourself.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

reliable talent plus your ungodly number of skills means you’re really good at skill checks of all kinds. even if you need to do something physical, you can slap down a borrowed knowledge and power your way through that locked door or over that wall.

you’re almost always in control of a situation, with plenty of ways to turn a situation with your advantage with a bit of creativity. you can empower yourself or your allies, weaken your enemies, talk people into things they wouldn’t do otherwise, and worst case scenario just literally take control of someone to make them do what you want.

we didn’t give a lot of focus on your slide rule in the build itself, but you shouldn’t underestimate a weapon with extra length on command. that added flexibility can mean the difference between attacking someone this turn or giving them an extra turn to escape.

Cons:

you only get one lunging or sweeping attack per short rest, and your bardic inspirations also don’t recharge until the day’s done until level 10, so actually using all your cool abilities saddles you with some time off for most of the build.

speaking of time off, everything but your main action is super crowded, with your bonus action helping your mobility, stealth, spells, inspiration, help, and aiming, while your reaction can block damage, deal damage, and use silvery barbs. so there’s a lot of off time when you don’t want it, and no off time when you do.

while we made your wisdom skills stronger, your wisdom saves are still absolutely terrible, especially considering you’d’ve gotten proficiency in them if you were just a regular rogue. as you very well know from your own toolkit, failing a wisdom save can be a serious issue for your party to deal with.

Which Pokémon gym leaders do you like the most?

Gen 1 doesn't do much in terms of giving them roles and personalities but Sabrina has been a big favorite for as long as I can remember. Playing Yellow as an adult also let me appreciate the chuuni potential of Koga. He also has the second-best gym puzzle after Blaine.

Gen 2 makes them more distinctive but not exactly more likable. If I have to pick one, I'll go with Morty. His design and his gym puzzle are pretty cool and he's almost plot-relevant. Honorable mention to Janine, who is a poor replacement for Koga but gets huge bonus points for Ariados as a choice of ace.

Gen 3 has Winona and Wallace with great designs and excellent choices of aces in Altaria and Milotic. But the ORAS expansion also pushes Watson ahead of the competition.

Sinnoh also lacks any standout Gym Leaders. They saved all the good designs for the Elite Four, apparently. But I'd pick Fantina or Wake if I'm forced to pick one.

Black and White is where Gym Leaders finally start generally getting things to do outside their boss battles. Skyla is Unova's prettiest design but Elesa wins for the crucial part she plays in Bianca's arc (Still could have been 10 times better if she had Galvantula as her ace).

The Kalos games are a downgrade in terms of Gym Leader presence but it has Valerie, who is Pokémon's prettiest woman by a very wide margin.

The Trial Captains all have good designs, decent relevancy, and pretty original "gym puzzles", but if I have to pick one, Lana takes it for the choice of Araquanid as her ace.

Gen 8 is another one that puts so much care into its Gym Leaders in general, gym puzzles aside, but here the choice is much easier. Opal is straight-up the best character of her generation. I guess Bede also counts as a Gym Leader, so I should name him as a runner-up as well.

I still haven't seen most Gym Leaders for Gen 9 but one of them is FGO Sei Shounagon so I'm pretty confident Iono will remain my favorite to the end.

The proper rankings fluctuate a lot since for the most part the Gym Leaders aren't exactly characters with well-defined personalities and development, but Valerie and Opal are generally the top 2 in this order, for the third place today I'm feeling Koga.

Why is it so difficult for people to understand that Ubisoft is being racist?

I’m a long-time fan of Assassin’s Creed. It’s a part of me at this point: a reason I got interested in history, a reason I opted to take French classes in Highschool. I remember counting the days until the movie came out, going to theaters on release weekend with a friend. It wasn’t a good movie, but it remains a fond memory to this day.

As I played Ghost of Tsushima, I kept thinking about how cool it would be if the protagonist were a Ninja. Sure, there was a skill tree focused on stealth, but the storyline was very much about honor and the internal conflict of being a warrior. I wanted more subversion, loyalty and shady dealings- in short, I wanted to see the Assassin’s creed take on it. Templars funding corrupt kirishitan daimyo, lone assassin shinobi becoming nukenin, that sort of thing.

When I first heard that there would be an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan, I was excited for it. Then, they revealed the protagonists to be a Japanese kunoichi and …a samurai foreigner. Was it a marketing decision? Because we’ve had Italian assassins in Italy and American Assassins in North America and Egyptian Assassins in Egypt. It’s obviously a conscious choice, then. Ubisoft stating that no, having a Japanese woman as the sole protagonist just won’t do. The Japanese Ubisoft statement that has since been deleted spoke of the creative team finding “our” samurai. Are the Asian, much less Japanese, constituents of the AC fandom not “theirs” enough?

If that were all, then it would’ve been business as usual; I wouldn’t have posted anything, albeit with lingering disappointment towards Ubisoft. However, there’ve been claims that the allegations of cultural appropriation and historical fabrication are all racist reactionary backlash to having a black protagonist, which I felt was actively harmful to my continued existence so here I am.

First of all, the fact that Assassin’s Creed is a work of fiction and that there are many works of historical fiction that do outright silly things in Japan is not the center of discourse anymore in Japanese circles so arguing that Ubisoft has artistic license is rather a moot point. Yes there’s feminized Oda Nobunaga in FGO, made by a Japanese company, move on from that please. Most people aren’t concerned about the player base being stupid enough that they can’t tell that AC is a fictional game. We aren’t stupid, neither are you.

The issue about historical fabrication lies in the concern that players will enjoy the game and decide to search about the historical Yasuke and come across Lockley’s book, African Samurai: The True Story of Yasuke, a Legendary Black Warrior in Feudal Japan, which is utter bullsh*t. He is alleged to have edited Wikipedia in small increments over the course of ten years to authenticate his speculations as fact. After being outed on Twitter by Japanese AC fans he deleted his socials. And although I believe gamers aren’t stupid enough to believe AC is completely factual, I can’t believe that people won’t trust a printed book written by a scholar since even Encyclopedia Brittanica believed him. An article in ScreenRant even cites this book; while Japanese fans have been exposing one falsification after another these past few weeks, none of that information is reaching across the waters, where it would actually be relevant to target misinformation. If you think I’m lying, go to the Japanese language version of Wikipedia and click on ‘translate page’ for a quick overview of the problem (https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%88%E3%83%BC%E3%83%9E%E3%82%B9%E3%83%BB%E3%83%AD%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC). It’s not in the English version. We are rightfully concerned that people will read the book because they like the game and come to believe that Japan participated in the transatlantic slave trade. We are rightfully concerned because we know there’s been wars fought over who has enslaved who and punishing those deemed morally degenerate. We are actually scared because Assassin’s Creed is a big title series god*amn it.

This is honestly my first time coming face to face with racism to this degree. Posts on Tumblr, English Twitter, and gaming media have made it out to be that the only people complaining are white men, as if the backlash is only from gamergate. I enjoy reading articles from IGN and Polygon and whatnot on a normal day, but now I’m faced with articles saying there’s been “some criticisms” (emphasis not mine) being raised in Japan and even claims that Japanese people are overwhelmingly looking forwards to the game while white bigots are the only ones complaining, completely minimizing the issue. There’s 90k+ signatures to cancel the game in a Japanese language petition, and sure, there may be a few thousand racists who took the time to translate the page and sign, but it’s insane to state that it’s composed of mostly white men. Like c’mon. There’s been boatloads of Japanese language tweets about the AC Shadows controversy getting tens of thousands of likes and quotes on Twitter. There were only two English articles that I could find that cut into the issue and one was written by a Japanese writer translated from Japanese media. COME ON. “Ubisoft didn’t need to release an apology since they’re only angering internet trolls” is not the point media should be making. Can someone have the guts to write “Ubisoft needs to release an actual apology instead of dancing around the problem?” And why do we need to say that we want a Japanese Assassin’s creed game to be about Japanese people in the first place? Shouldn’t it have been the obvious choice? I’m looking forwards to playing an African Assassin cutting the throats of colonial traders in Capetown, whenever that might happen, and my non-Asian friends have been looking forwards to playing a Japanese Assassin in feudal Japan, and I think Ubisoft is just giving all of us the finger. A nice, nonthreatening, manicured finger.

I really hope Ubisoft and/or HarperCollins denounces Lockley’s book before the release date for at least some semblance of damage control.

And before anybody says anything stupid, I am in fact not a white dude, I am a Japanese American Female studying Anthropology. So thank you, Ubisoft, for influencing my life decisions. I hope my disappointment reaches you.

Tbh I love how smart Mash is. She has very limited knowledge of people, pop culture, and human nature and it seems like she's trying to get to know it as much as she can through books and literature. I mean I also love what a genuinely kind soul she is. There really is everything to love about Mash. She's also funny as hell.

My only ONLY!! Big gripe about Mash is how the narrative treats her like she can do no wrong. And when I say 'do no wrong', I mean Mash can say some pretty ignorant or do some borderline cruel things and there's... not much attention given to it? In my opinion, I think a good exploration of Mash's character would be to let her have moments where she feels shock and remorse from hurting someone and has to figure out how to build back a bond. Likewise, I think Mash would also narratively benefit from getting moments where she's allowed to actually be angry. And not huffy PG protagonist angry. I mean vengeful angry.

There were so many things to talk about that I can hear the thoughts in my head crashing against each other.

I've been typing and deleting a single sentence for well over 15 minutes now. I haven't written a post in a while, but I really wanted to write something. To be fair, there wasn't anything relatively interesting to talk about until last week.

Most of the days went on the same. I go study, come back, play games, sleep, and repeat. Sometimes I'd join a group of exchange students that cook and share food from their countries at dinner time. Thank to them, my meals now have more variety than frozen food or cafeteria lunch that I never bother to change my order.

Me and the classmate that came to this same exchange program has been getting along well. She usually let me hang out in her room while she cooks. I mostly help with washing the dishes because, well, that should be obvious. One day last week I was still at her room while we chat about random stuff. It was getting late, and I was thinking of going back to my room. We suddenly heard a loud noise.

And before we knew it, the whole room was shaking.

My first earthquake experience was a 5.0 magnitude with the center right in the province I live in.

Luckily, the shake lasted a couple of seconds. It was so short that fear didn't even get a chance to register in my brain. A small aftershock also followed after, but it was nothing compared to the main quake so no one really cared. I guess this is what it feels like to live in a country where earthquake is a normal occurrence.

Few days later me and a couple other exchange students went to Hitachi Seaside Park. We all got crowded on a small car of this kind Japanese friend who was living to drive us there. The whole ride was chaotic because the junior from my country kept trolling the poor Japanese guy to say bad words in our language.

Before seeing the Nemophila, we hung around the amusement park area first. Half of the group decided to get on some rides while the other half chose to spend money on consumables.

Here is my failed attempt at taking a photo of the two-tone ice cream because right after the seller handed it to me, the thing started melting too soon that I had to finish it all.

Fortunately, I had enough time to get a second cone because some weren't done with the attractions yet (the ice cream also tasted so good that I was willing to have another one despite the expensive price).

Once everyone gathered up, we finally headed to the most popular spot of the park, and the view was breathtaking.

The Nemophila field looks just like what I saw on the TV so it kind of felt unreal to me. Both local and foreigner tourists can be seen on every part of the field because this was the last few days before the seasonal flower gets changed.

We found a couple of cosplayers at the park too. There were Riddle, Ace, and Deuce from twst who came as a group, Artoria Caster from fgo who seem to come with her photographer, and Frieren Himmel duo who were done with their shoot and was taking photos with everyone who passed their way. They then got misunderstood as characters from Evangelion by a random couple who were behind us. Seriously baffled at how they could guess so wrong.

I of course didn't miss the chance of taking photos of my oshi plushie in this stunning scenery. Please witness them below.

Assorted AC6 thoughts now that enough time has elapsed for me to write down coherent stuff and I had time to reflect on it a bit. Will be very disorganized because otherwise I wouldn't be able to write anything

Ok this game has skyrocketed into the top 5 favorite games ever for me, and also one of the best games I've ever played objectively. I already felt like this after finishing it just once but the subsequent playthroughs cemented this even more. It's like everything I love about the AC series amplified by 100. They put crack in this thing. Also (though this goes in general for the AC series) I'm very glad to have found a Fromsoft series to get attached to, because I've always loved their way of making games but I could never find anything that really kept me all the way till the end of the game.

Favorite things about this game were the story and characters hands down. I'm the type of guy who plays games for these two things, I don't really care for gameplay even if it's doo doo ass it won't influence my rating of the game much (though this game's gameplay was INSANE good of course. I'm fucking addicted to it) I value pieces of media for their ability to make me feel REALLY strong emotions (which doesn't actually happen often), and I can say with great confidence that rarely has anything ever made me feel as strongly as this game. Probably only Extella and some parts of FGO. I don't remember ever having to take so many and so long pauses simply because I had to emotionally prepare to continue or actually ponder decisions to take. I'm usually very quick to make decisions and just say "fuck it we ball" even in what are supposed to be emotionally charged moments lol.

My list of endings going by enjoyment would be LoR > FoR > AIE. It's hard to explain because I think all 3 endings were more or less equally well-executed, all 3 of them made me feel the equivalent of emotion I feel throughout an entire year, but what makes the difference are the types of emotions and themes. It all comes down to very personal tastes. AIE genuinely gave me an existential crisis and made me go "good lord what have I done" (yes even more than FoR) and was the hardest one to go through emotionally, because it touched on topics I have very strong opinions on and to complete it I basically had to go against all my ideals and what I would normally choose to do. All of this discomfort was more than made up for by Iguazu though. Honestly I'll just talk properly about him and the other characters in other posts when I feel insane enough because otherwise this post would be 3km long

FoR had my favorite mission in the game, Breach the Karman line. Which was honestly one of the highest moments in gaming in my experience. The setting in (near) space, the unlimited energy, the callbacks to the Old King route from 4A, and the Rusty boss fight. Goddddd how did they fucking DO THAT how did they engineer Rusty to be the perfect character for me. And the insane HAUNTING feeling finishing this route gives you. A tragedy of your own creation. The monster who burned the stars.

LoR is the ending I felt less conflicted choosing, even though killing Carla and Chatty killed a part of my soul as well, and I felt like the Destroy the Drive Block mission was a reward for having the courage of choosing this route. Rusty helping you (he was the first one to answer the call.... what are we......) and complimenting you, getting to feel like a real hero, a real Raven... Someone who uses their means to be a champion of free will and freedom. And then the fight with Walter. Him being the final boss was a mix of being caught completely off guard, but also expecting it. I remember thinking "what if Walter is the final boss... No, couldn't be, he's gone". I was honestly terrified of him just blowing up in our face because of what we had done but this was the first step of me realizing that the character I had created in my head, and had been bracing myself for the entire game ("ok this is it, he's gonna get PISSED and show his true nasty self") simply didn't exist. I had been wrong the entire time. Walter means THE WORLD to me and I could (and WILL) write like 50 pages about him.

Likely forgot something and my concentration is already going to shit, but also I don't want to make this post longer than it already is so like. I'll leave the thoughts about the characters and whatever else comes to mind for some other time. If this game doesn't win GOTY I'll become the joker. Also I'm petty saying this because I actually like BG3 but AC6 made me feel more in the 56 hours it took me to finish than BG3 did in the 200+ hours I've already put into it lol.

Yep, Correct! All three have tried to kill their sibling. Specifically:

Tekkaman Evil (Shinya Aiba) trying to kill Tekkaman Blade (Takaya Aiba) makes up one of the major conflicts of Tekkaman Blade, with their final battle even serving as one of the crowning moments of the series (helped by the song Masquerade, which I am now using this as an excuse to link to.)

Ga’ran, jealous over her lack of spiritual power and, thus, her inability to take the throne, attempted to have her sister murdered in an “accident” involving the royal residence being set on fire. Granted, it didn’t quite succeed, though part of it was Ga’ran decided to instead save her sister and use this plus other detail to blackmail her. It’s complicated, as with much in Ace Attorney.

Arjuna and Karna’s rivalry and fight to the death are a major aspect of both characters, and need little explanation as FGO definitely makes sure if you’re playing, you know about it. Suffice to say, Arjuna was the successful one here… though I don’t think he enjoys the “how” on that victory.
